Who Is George Soros? Here Is A Little Background.

Here are the undisputed facts about the background of George Soros. You can make your own conclusion as to what his overall purpose or goal is and where the United States and our democracy factor into that.

George Soros (real name: “Schwartz György”) is a billionaire philanthropist who was born in Budapest, Hungary on August 12, 1930. According to his personal website, George “lived through the Nazi occupation of 1944–1945, which resulted in the murder of over 500,000 Hungarian Jews. His own Jewish family survived by securing false identity papers, concealing their backgrounds, and helping others do the same.”

Soros’ immense fortune cannot be disputed. The man is RICH AF. There is absolutely no denying it despite your personal opinion of the Hungarian born philanthropist and regardless of what your political party or country of origin may be. George has “given away more than $32 billion of his personal fortune to fund the Open Society Foundations’ work around the world.” Soros started the Open Society Foundation in 1979, an organization according to Wikipedia which “financially support{s} civil society groups around the world, with a stated aim of advancing justice, education, public health and independent media”.

For now, we know that George Soros is a #richAF Hungarian refugee and philanthropist who created the Open Society Foundation. So… what exactly did this man do to earn his wealth in order to be able to fund such causes?

First off, Soros was a stock trader. He went on to become a hedge fund manager. In 1973, he launched his company “Soros Fund Management” where he flourished financially. However, what really skyrocketed his immense success can be summarized in two words: Black Wednesday. On that fateful day of September 16, 1992 Soros destabilized the English bank by driving the economy down, a practice known today as “short-selling” or “shorting”. According to IG (NOT the abbreviation for Instagram-it’s a trading site), “short selling is the act of selling an asset that you do not currently own, in the hope that it will decrease in value and you can close the trade for profit.”

Soros made 1.5 BILLION dollars from shorting while simultaneously destroying the Bank of England. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited when I find a $20 bill on the ground. Making 1.5 billion dollars is a feat that the majority of the world’s population will never attain. Now, imagine making that in ONE DAY, while also simultaneously destroying the monetary system of Great Britain. Pretty crazy stuff. Kinda a once in a lifetime situation, right? I’ll answer that for us all by exclaiming “RIGHT!”

Remember when I wrote earlier that Soros is a philanthropist who has donated has donated an upwards of 32 BILLION dollars to various causes through the Open Society Foundation since 1979? That is going to be an important subject to expand on. For now..I want you to remember those 3 words. Open. Society. Foundation. Got it?

To be completely honest, I’m starving right now and I need to go to Target. We are going to go into further detail on the Open Society Foundation and what they have funded since 1979 in the next post. See you guys then.

(WAIT isn’t it Ironic that I just told you guys what Black Wednesday was…and today is Black Friday? Ok bye)
